FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) today announced that it has signed a representation deal with Renown Pictures Ltd which will grant them distribution rights to Renown’s catalogue of classic British films which includes titles such as Desmond Hurst’s Scrooge and Academy Award-nominated The Pickwick Papers by Noel Langley.

Renown Pictures Ltd formed in 1999 and its catalogue is a treasure trove of British film gems starring a wealth of talent including Sir Alec Guinness, Oliver Reed, David Carradine, Jayne Mansfield, David Niven and more. It includes films from some of the UK’s best-known studios such as Eros, Twickenham Film Studios and British Lion, and classic films such as Blood of the Vampire, a cult classic by Henry Cass, and Adventures of Sadie, which was the first film made in Eastman Colour and stars a very young Joan Collins.

The library also includes classic TV titles including Take a Letter Mr. Jones featuring Rula Lenska and John Inman; Caesar & Cleopatra starring Sir Alec Guinness and Genevieve Gujold; and The Capone Investment starring John Thaw.
